Lesson in Designing a Bar Graph in Excel

This 6-page package is a sequenced description of making a bar graph in Excel 2007. It is meant to give students a positive experience in spreadsheet software.
This is a highly motivational lesson that can be used in a number of ways. In the Computer Lab, it can be used to give your students experience in Excel and use their keyboarding skills to complete a project. I've used it to prepare classes for Science or Social Studies assignments.
The classroom teacher can integrate technology into the program while giving the students the opportunity to design graphs that are special and colorful. The students will be guided as they input data into Excel and then create charming, attractive documents. They can switch up the colors and effects until they have the exact graph that they want and will be proud to share.
